AID Alliance of International Doctors teams continue their health and medical activities at home and abroad.
Most recently, AID Konya teams provided health screening services to 500 people with a 6-person volunteer doctor team at health centers in the Kemmune Refugee Camp in Idlib and the Lebbeh Refugee Camp in Aleppo, and distributed 500 tubes of toothpaste.
AID Konya Representative Dentist Mustafa Necati Özkan stated in his explanation, "As AID Konya, based on humanitarian and Islamic values, we have made it our duty to stand by people living in regions with inadequate health services and in disaster areas. We sent a team of 6 doctors to conduct health screening in Afrin and its surroundings, connected to Aleppo, which was cleared of terrorists by Operation Olive Branch. The team included an ophthalmologist, a microbiology specialist, an infectious disease specialist, family physicians, and emergency physicians. Over two days, accompanied by our Mobile Health Truck, this team conducted health screenings for approximately 500 Syrian brothers and sisters who could not receive health services due to the civil war. Approximately 200 patients who came with eye complaints were treated and provided with necessary medications. 350 patients received oral and dental health screenings and were given toothpaste and toothbrushes."
